GREASE INJECTION CONTROL HEADS
Grease Injection Contro! Head (GICH) is required to obtain a seal when using
braided ineforheavy duty suchas swabbing or fishing.
Principle of Operation: Grease Is injected at a pressure higher than the well
pressure (approximately 20% higher). The grease fils the interstitial grooves
between the braided line stands, The most critical component of the grease
Injection head are the “flow tubes: These should be approximately 0.010" 1D
larger than the measure ODS ofthe o-Ine, The seal is achieved by the pressure
drop createdacross the small gap between theline and flow tubes.
