Sway Final

The document defines and provides examples of various geometric shapes and angles seen in a photo, including: 1) A parallelogram is formed by the stands in the photo with parallel and congruent opposite sides. 2) An acute angle is seen in the back stand of the photo measuring less than 90 degrees. 3) The two windows in the background form congruent polygons with the same number of sides and corresponding angles and sides.

Delaney's Sway

1 - A parallelogram is a four sided shape with opposite sides are parallel and congruent. Opposite sides do not share a vertex
and opposite angles do not share a side. The stands in this photo form a parallelogram.
2 - An acute angle is an angle that measures less than 90 degrees. The stand on the back of the frame forms an acute angle.

3 - Congruent polygons are polygons with the same number of sides, and all corresponding angles and sides are congruent. The
two windows in the background of this photo form congruent polygons.
4 - The two yellow road lines are parallel lines. Parallel lines are lines in the same plane that will not ever intersect each other.
5 - A circle is a closed shape that is 360 degrees. The points on a circle are all equidistant from the center. In this photo the
railing has circles on it.
6 - An obtuse angle is an angle that measures more than 90 degrees. The laptop forms an obtuse angle in this photo.
7 - An acute triangle is a triangle where every angle is less than 90 degrees. Part of the railing in this photo forms an acute
triangle.

8 - The signs in this photo form pentagons, which are polygons. A polygon is a plane figure that is formed by three or more
segments called sides such that no two sides with a common endpoint are collinear. They also much have each side intersect
exactly two other sides one at each endpoint.
9 - A concave polygon has at least one diagonal with points outside of the polygon. These signs form concave polygons.
10 - Vertical angles are two angles whose sides form two pairs of opposite rays. In this photo there are many vertical angles on
the wall.
11 - A quadrilateral is a polygon with four sides. In this photo the beams on the roof make a quadrilateral.

12 - A rectangle is a parallelogram with four right angles. In this photo the glass surrounding the ice skating rink forms a
rectangle.
13 - The square in this photo is on the pink chair. A square is a parallelogram with four congruent sides and four congruent
angles.

14 - A right angle is an angle that measures 90 degrees. In this photo the corder of t e door frame is a 90º angle.
15 - The obtuse triangle in the photo is the top of the building. An obtuse triangle has two acute angles and one obtuse angle.
