Complex Fraction

This document discusses how to simplify complex fractions by representing them as simple fractions. It provides two examples: 1) Simplifying (1/x + 1/2) / (1/x^2 - 1/4) to get (2 - x) / (2x) 2) Simplifying 20 / (x - 8 + x + 4) to get x - 6 Both complex fractions are simplified by finding the least common denominator and performing algebraic manipulations.

COMPLEX FRACTION

A Complex Fraction is a fraction in which the numerator or denominator is a fraction. It is often

necessary to represent a complex fractions as a simple fraction.
