Task 2 Activity 2

The document describes a classroom routine to transition students from a main activity to small group work. The routine aims to facilitate teaching and learning while saving time. The teacher explains the learning objectives and gives instructions, then students move to their small groups. This particular routine worked well, helping the teacher complete all activities and review the learning objectives with the students. If teaching the class again, the teacher would provide clearer instructions during the small group work and use transitions and signs more to smoothly manage student behavior.

of rules etc.)

Place in today’s class Students will move after the main activity to small-group work
(when will you perform (from creating the big pictogram to class work).
the routine)
Importance to the smooth Routines facilitate teaching and learning also routines don’t just
functioning of today’s class make the teacher life easier. It also saves valuable classroom time
and makes it easier for students to learn and achieve more.
How well did this routine The routine helped me finish all activities with the students and do
work in today’s class the plenary and revise the LOs with the students.
If you had to teach this I would use clear and specific instruction to guide the small groups
class over, how would you during the activities. I will use the transitions a lot to move
adjust this routine and smoothly during the task and the plenary. I would use the signs to
why manage and control the behaviors.
