and out of the classroom with questions or concerns they may have. Hold office hours for
teaching associates who need assistance. Attend occasional class meetings for the new
teaching associates pedagogy training. Assist at various department events with setting up,
planning, and providing help that the faculty may need.

Wings, CSUN Student Publication


Coeditor Spring 2016 to Fall 2017
 Selected and edited freshmen essays and created discussion questions for inclusion in
CSUN’S annual Freshman Composition publication. Mentored assistant editors. Planned
annual ceremony for the published authors of the publication, Wings and the other
Freshman Composition Publication, New Voices.

ACADEMIC SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP


President, CSUN Critical Theory Club Fall 2016-Present
 Plan Critical Theory Club events and study sessions to help supplement students learning
within the classroom. Meet with fellow club members monthly to discuss and plan
different events to be held for fellow students. Embrace theoretical texts across disciplines
with other departments. Invite guest speakers and other students to club meetings to build
community through dialogue. Host theory study nights each semester as supplemental
workshops for students enrolled in English 436 and 638.

Sigma Tau Delta, The International English Honor Society, Iota Chi Chapter, CSUN
Historian/Public Relations Fall 2016-Present
 Promote and encourage students, through social media, to submit their writing to various
conferences. Attend monthly meetings with other members. Assisting in coordination of
literary conference at CSUN for Spring 2018.

 Awarded to an undergraduate student who pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English with an
