Drinking Water: Prepared by Errold Paul B. Gagarin

The document discusses drinking water and its importance for human health. It states that the human body contains about 70% water and that humans need about 8 glasses of water or 2 liters per day. It then lists several important nutrients found in water like calcium, magnesium, sodium, copper, selenium, and potassium and describes their roles in bone, cardiovascular, antioxidant and other health. It further discusses potential unsanitary practices like unsafe drinking water and uncleaned water vessels that could lead to illnesses such as malnutrition, amoebiasis, cholera, typhoid fever and diarrhea. It proposes an action plan to address these issues through providing ground water wells, water supply systems, conducting seminars and education on simple water treatment.
