Market Preview
Yesterday, stocks remained volatile and ended the day in bearish sentiments as investors kept offloading their stocks. During the day,
market opened on positive note KSE100 index went up by 56.71 points at 9843.17 then selling pressure was seen in the market owing to
uncertainty over capital gain tax and expectation of rising inflation trend . KSE100 index went down by 62.36 points at 9724.1 and closed
in bearish sentiments for the 2nd successive trading day with a net loss of 53.1 points at 9733.36. KSE All share index went up by 39.92
points at 6979.04 then it went down by 39.22 points at 6899.9 and closed with a net loss of 35.61 points at 6903.51. KSE30 index went up
by 55.04 points at 10243.8 then it went down by 69.3 points at 10119.46 and closed with a net loss of 55.91 points at 10132.85. KMI30
index went up by 75.04 points at 14552.22 then it went down by 93.2 points at 14383.98 and closed with a net loss of 72.09 points at
14405.09. The volume rose to 157.19 million shares as against 148.22 million shares. The share price of 166 stocks closed after gains, 220
suffered losses and 18 remained unchanged.
