Data Analysis 1) Gender

The document analyzes data from 5 surveys measuring: 1) Gender - The mean of 1.43 indicates the proportions of males and females were nearly equal. 2) Level of study - Most respondents were from Year 2, followed by Year 1, with the fewest from Year 4. 3) Number of lab practicals - On average, respondents seldom skipped class or skipped once per week. 4) Time for lab practical sessions - The average time was 2.97 hours. 5) Time to complete lab reports - The average time was 3.53 hours.

(v) Analysis and Comment

Based on the pie chart above, 43.3% of our the total respondents are female whereas 56.7%
are male. The mean value calculated is 1.43 which lies in the middle of Rank 1 (male) and
Rank 2 (female). Thus, it shows that, the our survey is not bias because the proportion of
males to females is nearly equal.

(v) Analysis and Comment

Based on the result obtained, most of the respondents are from Year 2, followed by Year
1 and then Year 3. The least of our respondents are from Year 4. None of the respondent
is from Master student or PhD students. This is because most of the respondents that we
approached are taking the degree courses.

(v) Analysis and Comment

Based on the result obtained, average of the respondents seldom skip class or skip class
once a week. The factors that they skipped classes maybe are overslept, have other non-
academic activities and not interested in the subject.
