1. Introduction
1.1. General
User settings and track collection from a previous installation are copied
automatically.
General
• Monitor with 1024 x 768 screen resolution
• OpenGL version 2.1 or higher (for KONTROL S8, D2 and S5)
• USB 2.0 or higher
• 1.5 GB free disc space
• High-speed internet connection (for installation)
2. What’s New in TRAKTOR 2.11.0
TRAKTOR 2.11.0 is an update with exciting new features for the
performing DJ and some bug fixes:
TRAKTOR can now sync via Ableton Link to other desktop and iOS
applications supporting this protocol. The synchronization works for
applications running on the same computer or for applications on
devices running on the same local network (connected via cable or
wireless).
Remix Deck based Step Sequencer for one-shots and samples supported
on S8 and D2. All essential controls are MIDI mappable. Additional user
mode mappings for F1.
The Allen & Heath PX5 is now Scratch Certified and will automatically
configure its audio channels when connected.
Since version 2.10.3. the S2MK2 and S4MK2 "Mic Input" was no longer
assigned by default to "Input Aux” as it used to be.
Note: This fix will only affect a fresh installation where the devices have
never been connected. Users that already did connect the devices with
2.10.3 will have to assign the channels manually.
The sorting of Import Date, BPM and Key Text was broken in the Explorer
node.
3. Important Notes and Known Issues
When opening a sound file in TRAKTOR, which contains more than one
ID3 comment created by different applications, only the first one will be
shown. After analyzing the track or editing ID3 tags in TRAKTOR, all
comments except the first one will be lost.
3.2. Collection
• In order to prevent changes of Beat Grids and BPM, the context menu
option 'Enable BPM Lock' should be applied.
• In case non-locked user grids have already been lost after analyzing, it is
possible to recover the grid information by re-importing an older version of
the collection.
• Mac OS X: Using the character '/' or any character between ASCII 0x00 to
0x1F in filenames or folder names causes the missing track message or
empty folders in the browser.
• For enabling TRAKTOR to playback non-DRM AAC or M4A files, iTunes or
QuickTime needs to be installed.
• Metadata sync with TRAKTOR DJ has been disabled in version 2.6.7 until
further notice.
3.3. GUI
When moving the TRAKTOR GUI to a secondary screen, the CPU load
increases significantly.
3.5. Preferences
• When adding a MIDI controller, all MIDI output ports are activated by
default. It is recommended to reconfigure the output port in the Controller
Manager preferences for the corresponding device.
• Preference option 'Global Settings/Miscellaneous/Fullscreen Resolution'
has no effect.
3.6. Remix decks
Due to the large amount of data that must be read from a Stem file, it is
currently necessary that Stem files be analyzed before loading into a Stem
Deck. It is not possible to load and play a Stem File before analysis is
finished.
We have discovered that Dell Backup and Recovery software, often pre-
installed on Dell and Alienware computers, causes a conflict with
TRAKTOR and other applications resulting in an 'ntdll.dll' crash. If you
experience this crash when trying to launch TRAKTOR, please uninstall
the Dell Backup and Recovery software.
Due to a change in iTunes 12, the selected sort view for playlists is no
longer written into the iTunes library.xml, therefore TRAKTOR can no
longer reflect the selected sort order from iTunes when viewing the
playlists in the iTunes node of the browser. If you want to view the iTunes
playlist order in TRAKTOR, please right-click on the playlist in iTunes and
choose 'Copy to play order' from the pop-up menu.
We have diagnosed the issue that is causing the WMA playback problem
on Windows, but we still need to implement a workaround for the problem,
which will take more time. Therefore, WMA playback issues still exist in
this release version.

Key Features:
• Integration of TRAKTOR KONTROL Z2
• Macro FX: 11 new 'combination effects' which are controllable from a
single knob. When using the update installer of TRAKTOR 2.6.0, the new
macro FX can be added to the list of available FX by importing the
following TSI: [USER]/Documents/Native Instruments/TRAKTOR
2.6.0/Settings/Default Settings/Effects/Macro FX.tsi
• Flux mode: allows various transport actions (jumping to HotCues,
performing beat jumps, and creating loops) to be used while preserving
the original progression of the track
Controller Manager:
• Factory map override: It's now possible to change the behavior of only
specific controls in a hard-coded mapping (such as the KONTROL S4/S2
or Z2) by overriding their default behaviors. The option shows up in the
'mapping details' section of Controller Manager only when it's available.
Effects:
• FX units can now be configured for post-fader operation in internal mixing
mode. For external mixing mode, the post-fader option will put the FX unit
last in the signal chain before being output from the audio interface
Mixer:
• New 'Z ISO' EQ type which is full kill at the left end of knobs path
• New 'Z' filter type
• 'QuickSnap' behavior for the EQ and filter controls: Hold the SHIFT button
on your hardware controller and move the EQ/filter knobs. The positions of
the knobs in the software will not be updated until the SHIFT button is
released. This allows for instantaneous EQ and filter cuts.
• New gain system with independent channel gain and auto-gain knobs. The
button next to the gain knob is used to switch the view of the knob
between gain and the auto-gain value for the track. When the button is
blue, you're viewing the gain for the channel. Clicking the button to turn it
orange makes the knob display the track's auto-gain level. Changes made
to the auto-gain amount can be heard immediately and are automatically
saved to the track. Channel gain can now be mapped to an absolute knob
without worry of takeover issues. NOTE: if you've disabled the 'Set auto-
gain when loading track' preference, then do not use the auto-gain view.
Adjusting this knob while the preference is off will end up overwriting the
track's auto-gain value.
Sync:
• A new transport preference preventing Remix decks from becoming
tempo master
• New transport preference allowing only on-air decks to become tempo
master. Turning preference off will no longer cause the tempo master to
switch when manipulating mixer controls.
