Leonardo Da Vinci BBC Documentary

1. The main idea of the film was to show the development of Leonardo Da Vinci as an
artist.
2. Apart from other films based on Leonardo Da Vinci, this one was more detailed on his
personal life.
3. The author's purpose is to inform the audience on Da Vinci’s experiences in giving
himself a spot in history.
4. The audience could vary from art students or random people that are merely interested in
his art and how he came to be one of the most well known artists.
5. The directors goal was to give an insight to Da Vinci’s raw talent and how he had
multiple talents.
6. The most prevalent in the film is Pathos due to the almost sympathetic tone the narrator
carries throughout most of the documentary.
7. A possible theme for this film could be “Renaissance” taking into consideration the time
and place of which this all occurred in and the tools Leonardo Da Vinci had at his
disposal during the time.
8. This film helped me understand Da Vinci and the stories behind the creation of his
paintings rather than looking at them as just another work of art.
9. I would not change nothing.
10. Most of the time when mentioning the name Leonardo Da Vinci, many will nod their
head and say they know him. However, do people really? He is mostly known as a
painter due to his globally famous paintings which are the Mona Lisa and The Last
Supper. Besides from this career as an artist, he was also an engineer,scientist, architect
,inventor, cartographer, anatomist, and writer. As Leonardo Da Vinci had no formal
instruction in Latin or Mathematics, numerous tended to ignore his scientific work. Be
that as it may, one look at his notes and journals, demonstrated that this man's
intelligence was beyond the scope of an average person and was way ahead of his time.
