Activity Series Chart

The activity series lists metals in order of their reactivity from most reactive to least reactive. Highly reactive metals like lithium, potassium, and calcium react vigorously with water and acids, replacing hydrogen. Less reactive metals like magnesium, aluminum, and zinc react with steam and acids but not cold water, also replacing hydrogen. The least reactive metals like gold, silver, and platinum do not react noticeably with water or acids at room temperature.
