ENVIRONMENTAL LAW TUESDAY 6-9 PM

Objectives:
1. To present to students basic policy concepts, terms, and approaches to natural
resources law and environmental regulation.
2. To study the essentials of environmental procedure and the writ of kalikasan.
3. To introduce to students the essentials of the environmental impact system, the
Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Solid Waste Management Act.
4. To make students environmentally conscious, aware of their environmental rights
under the law, and responsible for their actions that impact upon the environment.

Specific Objectives:
1. To allow the students to draft a program for solving the traffic crisis in Metro
Manila;
2. To allow the students to draft a program for the clean-up of Boracay and other
tourist spots.

Scope: Introduction to Environmental Law; Philippine Constitution; Natural Resources


Law; Mining Laws; Clean Water Act; Clean Air Act; Solid Waste Act; Environmental
Impact System; Marine Pollution; Rules of Environmental Procedure.

Grading:
30% - Final Exam
25% - Midterm Exam
25% - Quizzes and Recitation
10% - Book Review
10% - Reports and Attendance
