Kurdish Territory Proposal
Kurdish Territory Proposal
This is a proposed map which would require the agreement of Syria, Iraq and the Kurdish
people. There are many factors of this map which would benefit Syria, Iraq, Turkey, The Kurds, and
Iran. The territory in the light blue would be the proposed region. The region is drawn in a way that
gives the Kurdish people less territory then already controlled, but provides an established credibility
to part of the region under control in a way that is more favorable to all countries. Further more this
map pulls the Kurdish territory off of the boarder with Iran and Turkey thereby making such border
regions officially under control of Iraqi and Syrian nations. Under this stipulatory territory act, certain
requirements of the Kurdish region shall be upheld according to any United Nations agreement. Any
violation to or from the proposed territory will thereby be reviewed by the United Nations for
determination of action. Beyond the benefit to Iraq and Syria regarding a power vacuum and the
current fight against ISIS and other terrorist organizations... The benefit will be financial as well. While
the Kurdish territory will allow the Kurdish people to rule over its own territory in any way seen fit, the
territory will pay an agreeable tax from certain growth domestic product attained by mineral and oil
royalties, and a smaller portion of sales and, or wage taxes administered by the Kurdish State. This will
give Syria and Iraq auditory power overlapping Kurdish treasury function in which Kurdish parliament
may request additional 3rd party mediation by a neutral non Kurdish United Nations representative.
This agreement also requires the Kurdish territory to uphold ongoing representation in a fair manner by
Yazidis, and any other of its minority citizens. This gives the Kurdish territory and its elected officials
the full right to govern its people regarding police, military, education, law, hence any other civil and
regional regulations or freedoms. This includes freedom of diplomatic representation and a possible
path to establish itself as a member state in the United Nations. It is of belief that the time period for
such taxes to be in effect, should be constrained by periodical dampening such that the agreed tax rate
decreases over time to near an eventual 0. For example, by cutting the tax rate in half every 10 years
according to growth and establishment of greater GDP to keep fair functionality and growth of the
region. The financial stability that will effect both Iraq and Syria in a positive way where currently
there is none should be a benefactor that establishes compromise to such a territorial agreement. The
territorial boundaries should be one that eases tensions with Iran and Turkey. It is also of belief that
exact tax amounts and specific details of territorial boundaries should be worked out by the three
parties involved.

The only thing that is easily understood by anyone concerning the scope of the issue among all
involved countries is that it is complex. It would be impossible to believe that this is construed to be in
favor of any one country. This map has been drawn in a way that could easily be viewed as a win for
everyone involved.
