Fuel Savings and Efficiency Calculator

This document provides a fuel savings estimator tool for calculating potential fuel and cost savings from efficiency improvements to steam boilers. It allows the user to enter information about a boiler's load profile, operating hours, fuel type and costs to calculate the boiler's current annual fuel usage and costs. The user can then estimate a potential efficiency gain from improvements and the tool will calculate the associated annual savings in fuel usage and costs. A sample calculation is provided for a 200 BHP boiler using natural gas that estimates a 4.0% efficiency increase could save over $32,000 per year in fuel costs.
