TABLE OF CONTENTS
As always, the DC Police Union’s Executive Council met on the last Tuesday
of July. During this meeting, the Council had the opportunity to hear from

Uniform and Equipment Committee: Committee Chair Zack Blier discussed Calendar / Upcoming Events Page 3
the new MPD uniforms that are being issued; specifically CID members will
receive two complete sets of uniforms. The Committee Chair also stated he
was bargaining with MPD management concerning installing emergency
lights on unmarked cruisers to help us safely clear intersections while going
Code 1. He is also working on getting tinted windows applied to more of
our cruisers to help protect citizens/witnesses when doing show ups and
canvasses.

Publications Committee: Committee Chair Jordan Katz explained that his


committee is working on publishing a monthly newsletter for the entire
membership.

Bargaining Committee: Committee Chair Darrick Ross informed the Council


that contract negotiations are ongoing and NOT at impasse. In fact, the
contract negotiations team met with the DC Government on August 3, 2018.
