General Requirements On Permit To Operate For Generators

To operate a generator in a business establishment, two permits are required from different government agencies: an Air Pollution Source Installation (APSI) permit from the DENR Environmental Management Bureau concerning air pollution, and an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Installation permit from DOLE or the local government regarding safe installation. Generators for residential use do not require permits unless required by homeowners associations or local ordinances. Obtaining the permits requires submitting application forms along with documents like installation drawings, environmental compliance certificates, and permits from accredited professionals depending on the permit type.
