Standard weatherproof float switches


FS11 and FS12 (checkable) series

The Avery-Hardoll FS Series of Float Switches are available in many versions to suit individual
specifications. They are all stainless steel welded construction, including mounting flange and
termination head. Suitable for top, side or bottom mounting to allow for multiple applications.

When fitted with a 500W reed switch these devices are capable of switching small electric motors
without the need of a relay, or motors up to 200HP through a contactor.

Side mounted FS11/FS12


The standard side mounted float switches are ideal for conditions
where access to the top or bottom of a tank is not possible. Due
to the principle of operation the float will cater for any specific
gravity. Available as multi-level option with up to four alarms.

Side Mounted Checkable/Lockable versions are available to


special order.

On multi-switching options the minimum
distance allowed between float centres is
120mm. This dimension is dependent on
specific gravity and switch condition (BOR, MOR
etc). Shown is the three float configuration
which is generally the maximum
recommended. Other requirements are
available to special order.
Avery-Hardoll recommend a maximum tube
length of 4 metres.

Ordering Information
When ordering level controllers, technical information is required to ensure the customer is
supplied with the correct product specification. For this purpose a special form will be sent on
receipt of an order. The form allows the customer to specify exact requirements by ticking boxes
which will create the correct part number.
