Rationale

This master plan for the School of Living Tradition in Sarangani will focus on

the three most important and most relevant art form that the masters would

want to transmit to the next generation youth; mat weaving and basketry of

Blaan and Sangir and Blaan and Sangir Culinary. These art forms call for an

urgent attention and support from the community in order to preserve and

transfer. The support from the local leaders specifically the masters and tribal

leaders, both from Blaan and Sanger tribes are in support of the said project.

This year two plan covers the art forms in which the most relevant shall be

given full attention and focus. Modules, plans and initiatives for sustainability

and time frame are included in this revised plan.
