This document provides instructions for creating a new map projection in 7 steps: 1) Start a new file, 2) Select the coordinate system type and datum, 3) Choose a datum shift method and enter shift values, 4) Name the datum shift, 5) Save the projection file with a new name, 6) Open the new projection file, 7) View the completed geographic coordinate system details. Map Projection editor

1. - File > New


2. - File >
Coor Sys Type> List
Select Coord Sys Type: Geographic Latitude/Longitude
3. - Datum > List

Select Oman
4. - Shift Method
List >Select

Bursa –Wolf

Enter the numbers that you sent me:


5. - Write a new Shift Mnemonic name

Example: Marcus-PDS93

I have noticed that sometimes the Datum Shift will get populated with previous names,
but on the next step it will disappear
6. - Map Projection Editor
File > save as

Encana-PSD93
7. - Map Projection Editor
8. - File Open Geographic Coord System
Encana-PSD93
Geographic Coord System Oman
