EPOTEC YD 128

Description Epotec YD 128 is an unmodified liquid epoxy resin with medium viscosity
produced from bisphenol-A and epichlorohydrin. This is a standard liquid epoxy
resin and a wide variety of curing agents are available to cure this liquid epoxy
resin at ambient conditions and also at elevated temperature. When cured with
appropriate hardener, epotec YD 128 gives excellent mechanical, chemical,
electrical and adhesion properties. Because of these properties it finds use in
various applications.

Applications
• Solvent based, high solids and solvent free coatings
• Adhesives
• Civil engineering and construction industry
• Automotive coatings
• Can & coil coatings
• Marine and Industrial protective coatings
• Tooling, potting, casting and moulding compounds
• Composites
• Stabilizer in PVC

standard pack.
Other packs are available on request.

Storage Epotec YD 128 resin should be stored in original tightly closed container, in dry
and warm conditions to avoid crystallization. Under these conditions, it has a
storage life of at least two years from the date of manufacturing. Epotec YD 128
may become hazy or crystallize upon long storage especially when exposed to
low temperatures. The resin can be restored to its original condition by warming to
55-60ºC while stirring. For handling or pumping the maximum temperature
recommended is 80ºC.

Handling Please refer to the MSDS of the product for more instructions on safe storage and
handling of epotec YD 128.
