Considering starting to play again. How well is BfA doing? How well against how
Legion was?

What classes are doing the best right now?

And most importantly, how big of a role do pandas play in it?

BfA is not doing very well, right now.

Some are enjoying it, but a lot more are not enjoying it.

Best classes right now, are Rogues, DHs, Monks (BM mainly) and Hunters.

This is PvE side.

BfA is not as good as Legion imo, but Legion did put the standard up heavily.

It has its positives and negatives, a few of the negatives a bit more prominent
than they need to be, but for the most part i'm enjoying playing in it. I would try
it a bit and form your own opinion, the general consensuses rn is pretty wack.

Not really sure about top classes, but Rogue and heal-spec Priests are pretty damn
good.

Pandas have no major role atm, but they do populate a few ports around the
coastlines.

Triplex!

It's good to see you, man. This game is being over run with pandas and desperately
requires your keen attention to detail to fix the problem.

Back in 2007 when I started and didn't know anything, I thought RP realms were
servers where the players were the NPCs and real NPCs didn't exist.

That I had to have auto-shoot on my skill bar or I would only do skill shots and no
auto shots.

Well this was before I started playing MMOs in general but I thought it was GMs
making up scenarios for players like AD&D style. I couldn't fathom how they
constantly made fresh content for so many people.

The first time I went to an Inn I thought the rested XP buff was on a timer, so
when it turned blue I thought I needed to go kill things before the timer ran out
in order to not waste it. It took me a solid 20 minutes to realize that wasn't the
case.

Around level 9 or so my first time leveling, I got a quest in either Goldshire or

Stormwind to deliver a package to a dwarf in Loch Modan. Either the quest didn't
mention the Deeprun Tram or I just didn't get it, so I opened up the map to see
where Loch Modan was.

This led to me—at level 9—running from Elwynn Forest, through Redridge, Burning
Steppes, Searing Gorge, Badlands, and into Loch Modan all on foot. The entire
ordeal took around 7 or so hours and I think that at least quarter of the deaths I
have on this character came during that all-nighter.

It was one of those things that should have been a horrible experience, but being
that I was such a noob, I didn't care. I had a great time and I'll never forget it!

Started at the beginning of BC. I thought it was important to make sure to level up
defense and every single weapon skill as high as they could go each level before
leveling up. I spent a long time punching stuff on my holy pally every level until
someone told me how dumb I was being at level 30ish.

I didn’t understand stats so I was a boomkin trying to heal in strength and agility
gear with a two handed mace. This was back in BC because I remember getting yelled
at in one of the Coilfang Dungeons.

I was a mess.

Way back in Vanilla, one of my very first characters was a troll rogue. I quested
my way to Razor Hill and was very disappointed, thinking it was the orc capitol. I
quickly learned that, no, Orgimmar was the capitol, it was up the road to the
north. There were many boars along that road, much too strong for a lowbie like me
to fight. No problem, I could stealth!

So I stealthed, with a move speed penalty, all the way from Razor Hill to
Orgrimmar, to get pass neutral boars.
/facepalm

That "tank" was just another word for warrior. Charged into the first pack of elite
mobs in WC with a two handed weapon and died immediately.

Did a similar thing on my first paladin. I didn't know about the portal to UC so I
ended up running through the plaguelands at level 10. Took hours but I finally made
it to UC.

I thought the game was PvP focused and PvE was just a minigame. Mainly because I
was at a PvP guild that despised PvE. Oh, I missed a lot of fun stuff because of
it. :(

potions and vending them to get cash lol.

Back in Vanilla, as a starry-eyed Paladin running from Stormwind to Goldshire, I
ran into town and saw several people laying around a campfire, a couple of them
Hunters who had feigned death right as I got there. I had just trained Redemption,
and tried to cast it on them to no avail. I was trying to figure it out, when they
started /yelling. It startled me, because dead people don't talk. They were all
telling me to run away, it was the plague! So there were all these people laying on
top of a fire screaming about the plague and I tried to cleanse/heal them but it
wasn't working. Then I got whispered by one of the Hunters that they were just
playing, and invited me to the party, so I started playing along. I started to yell
about how even the Light couldn't save you. Poor newbies running in from Northshire
saw what was happening and ran back to Northshire. Never saw them again.
