PRACTISE SPEAKING FOR YOUR EXAMS

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. Prepare your presentation carefully
2. Look up all the words that you need and do not know
3. Read the instructions carefully: include everything in your presentation
4. Make a power point with pictures to make your presentation more interesting
5. Do not make any spelling mistakes in your power point: use your spelling checker
6. Each presentation should be between 4-6 minutes
7. Always begin and end tour presentation in a correct way

BELANGRIJK OM TE WETEN
1. Bereid je goed voor
2. Woorden die je kent kan je opzoeken, zo kan je ze toch gebruiken
3. Lees de opdracht goed! Zorg date er niets ontbreekt in je presentatie
4. Maak een power point met afbeelding om je presentatie interessanter te maken
5. Maak geen spelfouten: gebruik je spellingchecker
6. Je presentatie moet tussen de 4-6 minuten zijn
7. Open je verhaal en rond je verhaal altijd op een correcte manier

When to use I will and going to?

We use will to talk about the future:
• When you promise to do something
• I will tell you more about my internship : you are making a promise to tell more about your
internship

We use going to to talk about the future:
• For something we have planned
• I am going to give you important information about this new product : you planned

Kies eerst een stelling (statement of argument) die je wil verdedigen

1. Start met een correcte en toepasselijke openingszin
2. Stel jezelf voor
3. Vertel welke je opleiding je volgt
4. Op welke Mbo-instelling volg je je opleiding?
5. Vertel wat je stelling is
6. Vertel waarom je deze stelling hebt uitgekozen en waarom het belangrijk is voor jou
7. Geef minimaal twee argumenten om je stelling te onderbouwen
8. Vertel waarom jouw stelling ook belangrijk is voor je klasgenoten of de rest van de
school
9. Rond af met een conclusie: herhaal kort je stelling en waarom het belangrijk is
10. Sluit je presentatie op passende wijze af

Prepare your presentation about a product or a service that you want to sell


1. Start met een correcte en toepasselijke openingszin
2. Stel jezelf voor
3. Vertel welke je opleiding je volgt
4. Op welke Mbo-instelling volg je je opleiding?
5. Introduceer je product of dienst
6. Vertel wat je met het product of dienst kan doen
7. Vertel iets over de ontstaansgeschiedenis van het product of de dienst die je
verleent
8. Benoem minimaal 3 eigenschappen van het product of de dienst die je verleent
9. Vertel wie de doelgroep voor dit product/deze dienst is
10. Waar kan je het kopen/inhuren?
11. Hoe duur is het?
12. Zou je het aanbevelen? Leg uit waarom
13. Sluit je presentatie op passende wijze af

TIP:
• Gebruik plaatjes van je product zodat wij kunnen zien waar je over vertelt.
• Voeg eventueel een korte videoclip toe (Let op: dit komt dan boven op je spreektijd, het
mag niet meetellen als spreektijd!)
• Gebruik de past simple om over de geschiedenis van je product te praten

Become a marketing expert and promote your product with a great
presentation.


Prepare your presentation about your brand

1. Work in pairs (2 people)
2. Look at the brands and slogans on page 2.
3. Choose a brand that you want to present: see page 2
4. Prepare your presentation. Include these key concepts in your presentation

 PRESENTING A CRIME SERIES OR FILM – B1

Prepare and give a presentation about a crime series or film.

First of all: choose your series or film.

Prepare your presentation by using power point. Include these points:
1. Introduce yourselves
2. Introduce your series or film
3. Explain whether it is a film or series (number of seasons, episodes etc)
4. Where you can watch the series / film
5. Describe the series (action scenes, court cases, prison etc.) and where it takes place
6. Who are the main characters?
7. For which age group is it meant & explain why (violent scenes, bad language etc.)
8. Is it realistic? Explain why.
9. Do you like it or not? Explain why.
10. End your presentation in a correct way.
