We are looking for an engaged Communications Manager for the Latin American Region who
brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment.
The Scope
The Communications Manager, Latin America conveys the FSC brand, messages and values to
maximize the impact of communication and communication tools for all stakeholder audiences by
planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing successful and consistent communications
strategies across all channels across the region.
The Role
• To develop a regional communications strategy, including a media engagement strategy, in line
with FSC’s global vision and FSC’s global communications strategy, and in consultation with FSC’s
global Communications Director.
• To develop printed and digital material for information and promotional purposes across the region.
• To write and disseminate media releases, articles, editorials, etc.
• To develop and maintain content for websites, social media and corporate communications
material, on an ongoing basis.
• To provide communications advice, direction and – in exceptional cases – implementation to the
Latin America offices of FSC.
• To liaise with the global communications team, including taking part in global strategy development
meetings and providing input (in the form of a Latin American perspective) into various global
communications projects.
• To manage the work of all communications-related service providers in Latin America.

Your Profile:
• University (Bachelor or Master) degree in a relevant field (e.g. Communications, Marketing,
Journalism, Public Relations).
• At least 5 years’ relevant professional experience in Latin America (preferably across several
countries).
• Experience in implementation of communications strategies, including media engagement
strategies, and during times of crisis.
• Extensive project management experience.
• Previous experience in working in a corporate environment would be beneficial.
• Good time management skills as well as proven ability to plan and organize work.
• Solution- and service-oriented attitude to work.
• Mother tongue fluency in Spanish (spoken and written).
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential, fluency in Portuguese would be a plus.
• Excellent skills in the use of standard software packages (e.g. MS Office).
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, including copy writing and media release
writing.
• Experience in developing and implementing social media strategies.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations.
• Ability to work well as a member of a multi-cultural, inter-disciplinary, multi-lingual, global team.
• Commitment to FSC’s mission and values.
• Willingness to complete tasks on different levels, whether it be menial tasks or engaging in high-
level strategy.
• Permission to work and live in Peru.
What we offer:
A full-time position (40 hours/week) limited for two years with a possibility for extension.
The position is placed in Lima, Peru and requires sporadic travel.
An exciting working environment in an international setting.
Start date: As soon as possible.
