The course learning outcomes aim to develop students' abilities in 12 areas related to industrial and manufacturing engineering. These include applying engineering concepts to projects, analyzing and solving complex problems using literature and concepts, proposing solutions considering various stakeholders, investigating problems using proper methodology, using modern tools, acknowledging societal issues with solutions, understanding environmental impacts, demonstrating ethics, working individually and in teams, communicating problems and solutions effectively, applying management skills to projects, and recognizing the importance of lifelong learning.

CLO1: To apply knowledge of fundamental concepts related to industrial and manufacturing


engineering in a project (Knowledge PLO 1)

CLO2: To analyze complex engineering problems while using appropriate literature and fundamental
concepts of industrial and manufacturing engineering (Problem Analysis PLO 2)

CLO3: To propose feasible solutions to complex engineering problems while considering health &
safety, societal and environmental aspects (Design/Development of Solutions PLO 3)

CLO4: To propose appropriate methodology for reaching valid conclusions (methodology includes
literature survey, design of experiment, data collection and data analysis tools etc.) (Investigation PLO 4)

CLO5: To demonstrate the ability to use modern equipment and tools for investigating, validating and
presenting solutions to complex engineering problems (Modern Tool Usage PLO 5)

CLO6: To acknowledge the significance of societal, cultural, legal and safety related issues while
proposing solutions to complex engineering problems (The Engineer and Society PLO 6)

CLO7: To understand the impact of proposed solutions in societal and environmental context

CLO8: To show commitment towards professional ethics in engineering practice (Ethics PLO 8)
