Character Rigging

HumanIK allows the instant creation of full body, integrated IK / FK dual rigs.
Custom bone setups are fully supported for unmatched flexibility. Support for
roll bones allows realistic twisting of arms and legs.
Intelligent Re-Targeting
HumanIK's intelligent re-targeting saves time by allowing quick re-use of
character motions, automatically correcting for differences in character scales
and underlying model construction. Overall hands, feet and chest reach can be
adjusted easily and advanced control over each specific underlying parameter
is also available. Re-targeting sources can be other HumanIK characters,
Character Studio Biped characters and imported motion capture data files.
Animation Keyframing
A comprehensive set of keyframing tools lets you create sophisticated motions
with minimal effort. Kaydara's "smart" character technology accurately reflects
real-world behavior and allows you to focus on your intent as an artist. Full
body, body part and affected selection keyframing modes limit changes to the
areas you want. An integrated pose clipboard allows fast creation and use of
character poses. Mirror pose allows easy re-use of poses to create motions
such as walk cycles. Advanced position and rotation pinning tools make
animation simple. FK and IK blending can be applied to any body part.
HumanIK features the best feet to floor contact technology available anywhere.
Seamless Integration
HumanIK fits seamlessly into 3ds max. Full MaxScript access allows
customization for specific projects. HumanIK supports all bone and object
structures native to 3ds max, as well as most 3ds max controllers. HumanIK
can be used with 3ds max as a complete character animation system, or can
also be used alongside Character Studio.
