Introduction

Introduction
The Connected POC Dashboard can be accessed here.

The Weissbeerger Connected POC Dashboard is a web application that provides access to
different metrics and calculations of connected POCs on an aggregative and single-account
level. It can be used to query different hierarchies of information (e.g. country, region and
POCs).

Note
Within this document, there are links to other sections within the document. These links are
notated by being underlined and in blue.

Key Pages
The Connected POC Dashboard has three main pages:

▪ Dashboard Main View

o Provides a snapshot of all key metrics at an aggregate or POC level.
▪ Location View
o Provides details on best performing POCs across key metrics as well as POC-by-
POC performance across key metrics.
▪ Beer View
o Provides an overview of volume and revenue splits by beer style and brand. It
can be filtered for a selected group of POCs.

Login / First-Time Access

Use the login details emailed to you earlier by Weissbeerger to log in and access the
Connected POC Dashboard. If you are unable to login, please email
[email protected].

When you log in, you are brought to the dashboard. In the upper right-hand corner you
can see your user identity as well as logout of the Connected POC Dashboard.

Filters

Filters
Filters allow you to screen what is shown in all three Dashboard views; when you move
between the Dashboard, Locations and Beer tabs, your filters will remain saved.

Note
As of now, Venue Mode and Channel are only applicable to Australia due to the method in
which they structure their POCs; this may apply to other zones in the future. Though as of
now all users see these filters, if a non-Australia user adjusts either of these dashboard
settings, no metrics will be affected.

When you update a setting or filter, make sure to click the button to update the
dashboard with the new metrics or the changes will not apply.

Time Period
To start, select a time period for which you would like to view segment or bar data.
Clicking on Time period allows you to screen the data shown for the last week, a 4-week
period (see below for explanation), last month, last year, or you can choose custom start
and end dates.

Connected POC Dashboard User Guide Page |6

Filters

4-week period

Choosing 4-week period opens a dropdown list with a set of pre-defined 4-week periods.
There is also a custom period selection which open a calendar and allows you to select any
four consecutive weeks to show data for. When you click on a date, the four weeks prior
are selected, as shown below.

If you select a 4-week period, the dashboard will appear as shown below; from here, you
can select a week to display by clicking on the date range below the graph.

Connected POC Dashboard User Guide Page |7

Filters

Custom

Choosing Custom will open a calendar to select the date range. The first click will be the
start date and the second will be the end date.

Compare With
Next, you will choose a time period to compare the initial period with - for instance, you
may want to compare two consecutive months or weeks. The two periods do not have to
be consecutive or the same amount of time. You have the option to compare data from the
designated time period with data from the previous period or last year. For example, if
you selected April 2018 as the Time period, this person could then choose either Last Year
(April 2017) or Previous Period (March 2018). The relevant previous period being shown
will be listed in the dashboard.

Filters

Managers
Using Managers, you can isolate your search to POCs that are overseen by individual
regional managers, regional sales leads, or district sales managers. This filter is only
relevant for very large Connected POCs.

POCs
The POC list is invaluable when it comes to pulling up data for the POCs that are relevant
to your search and filtering out those that are not.

By clicking on POCs, a POC list is opened that allows you to see which POCs are included
in the filter. You can then search for, select and deselect POCs.

Connected POC Dashboard User Guide P a g e | 10

Filters

POCs can be searched for in the search bar at the top of the POC list. You can select all
POCs by checking the box in the top row at the left. POCs can also be sorted by city,
state/region and ID.

Note
This field searches by keyword, meaning that if you were to search for “London,” POCS with
the name London and POCs in the city London (in Canada in this example) will both show up.
This is illustrated in the screenshot above.

Connected POC Dashboard User Guide P a g e | 11

Filters

Channel

As mentioned at the beginning of this section, as of now Channel is only applicable to

Australia, but this may apply to other zones in the future. Though all users currently see this
filter, if a non-Australia user adjusts this dashboard setting, no metrics will be affected.

If you have any bottle shops (also referred to as off-premise serving areas, where
customers buy alcohol to be consumed off-premise), you can choose to show only these
serving areas by choosing On-Premise from the dropdown. Conversely, to filter out bottle
shops and show only on-premise serving areas, choose Off-Premise from the dropdown.
To show both types, click Both.

Venue Mode

Note
As mentioned at the beginning of this section, as of now Venue Mode is only applicable to
Australia, but this may apply to other zones in the future. Though all users currently see this
filter, if a non-Australia user adjusts this dashboard setting, no metrics will be affected.

If any of your POCs are part of a multi-bar venue, turning Venue Mode on (less granular)
aggregates all serving areas into one figure; if venue mode is off (more granular), you can
see individual data for each serving area. In this mode, you can filter by serving area from
within the POCs list.

Filters

Constant POC
Constant POC is used to ensure that the two comparison periods in the Time Period filter
are comparing a relatively equal numbers of business days. When Constant POC is turned
, POCs that do not have data for at least 90% for both the initial and the latter
period are filtered out. For instance, if your initial time period is January 1 – February 1, a
POC that was added to Beverage Analytic on January 25th would be excluded from both
time periods because that is only 7 out of 31 days, less than 90% of the total period of
comparison.

When Constant POC is on, the locations counter displays the number of POCs included
out of the total POCs.

Locations View

Locations View
The locations view is useful for identifying the best performing locations across key
financial metrics like total revenue, number of checks, average check size, alcohol share of
revenue, food share of revenue and beer share of revenue. It is also possible to screen
individual POCs for this data.

Area Description

1 For each best performing POC, this section lists total revenue, # of checks and alcohol/food share
of revenue. It also compares the figures versus the previous period for this POC. Best performing
POCs are measured as follows:
Total revenue - Largest increase in total revenue between the selected time period and
comparison time period
Number of checks - Largest increase in number of checks
Avg. check size - Largest increase in avg. check size

POC-by-POC Breakout
You can click on each POC to find a further breakout of revenue split by food, beer, spirits,
wine, non-alcoholic beverages and others. This breakdown is identical to that in the
Dashboard category breakout, only on the POC level, giving you much more granular
data. This shows revenue over the designated period. To the right of each amount, the %
growth over the last year is shown.
