4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory Activity Review of the previous discussion: Have the students answer the following
questions:
 What was our discussion last meeting?
 What have you learned?
 Present a quotation on the importance of the things/events in our life.
4.2. Activity Have the students give their ideas on what could be the possible importance
of quantitative research in terms of:
 Education
 Business
 Medical and Health Allied Services
 Science and Technology
4.3. Analysis The teacher presents some uses of quantitative research to the following
field.
 Education – measure the level of performance of students as well as
teachers
 Business – help the company make informed decisions on how to move
forward with a particular product or service.
 Medical and Health Allied Services – gather data on the level of
satisfaction of patients on the services rendered by the employees in a
hospital and the patient’s profile when treated statistically can be an ideal
groups for the distribution of health funds and assistance.
 Science and Technology – collect data that will lead to a more
responsible and accountable operation of the different components of
technology.
4.4. Abstraction  Have the students research on other importance of quantitative research
in the field of:
 Education
 Business
 Medical and Health Allied Services
 Science and Technology
4.5. Application  Journal Writing: Let the students reflect on their selves the importance of
quantitative research. Mention at least two (2) fields of study as
examples.
4.6. Assessment Talking to Learners/ Conferencing

4.7. Assignment Have the students study in advance kinds of variables and their uses
4.8. Concluding Have the students reflect on the line “A journey of a thousand mile starts with
