A man is sitting in a space capsule. He´s wearing a spacesuit and he isn´t moving. A
balloon the size of a tall building is taking the capsule into space. People on Earth
are controlling the balloon, and millions of people are watching the event on
YouTube. Around two and a half hours later, the capsule is 39 km above the Earth.
What´s the man doing? He´s standing in the door. Now he´s falling through space.
The temperature is -56,7 ºC, and one small mistake can kill him.
Ten minutes later, he´s back on Earth. He´s sitting on the ground and his amazing
jump is over.
The man is Felix Baumgartner. He´s a professional aeroplane pilot and extreme
athlete. People call him Fearless Felix because he does amazing things and he isn´t
frightened. But is Fearless Felix really brave and adventurous, or is he just foolish?
According to Felix, he knows what he´s doing and he prepares well. His space jump
