Reflectio 2 Math

A teacher taught a math lesson to students and was observed by an MCT teacher. Some parts of the lesson went well, like an activity where students fished numbers, but other parts needed improvement, like explaining an activity clearly. Teaching Math

Today I teach Math lesson, and my MCT teacher came to the school to
observe me. So, I start with the circle time, and the children wear god and
listening well. After that, I do the activities, but there is something went well, and
the other things went wrong. I will take about the things goes well, and the things
went wrong.

In the circle time, I put a song for the children from 1 to 10, and I sing it with
them but, not all of them were singing with me. After that, I tell them about the
activities, and the problem was that I am sick today and I did not explain the
activity well. So I did not spend more time with the children in the circle time, and
that’s not good.

In the activity time, the children were doing the activities as I won’t, and I
observe one of the activities which is “Fishing the numbers.” In this activity, I
observe the children in 1-saying the name of the numbers. 2-Ordering the
numbers. But, I keep watching the other activities and say “good, good job and
explant” for the children to support them that they can do it by them self.

At the end of the lesson, I use the bell to let them know that the time is fish
and they should clean up the classroom with singing a song for cleaning up” clean
up clean up everybody do your help, clean up clean up everybody do your job.”
Then, I asked them “Who can count from 1 to 10?” and I choose some of the
children to count. Also, I asked them “Did you have fun today?” thy said “Yes” and
that’s all about the Math lesson that I teach today.
There are some pictures or the activities:

The children catch the numbers with a


magnet then, they say the name of the
numbers and they order the numbers.

The children take a card and


according to the number in the card
they put the cubes bay counting. For
example, if the child takes number 5, he
or she should count the cubes and put
them together according to number in
the card.

The children take clay and one of


the numbers from 1 to 10 then, they make
a number with clay. For example, number
1 and use the clay to make this number.

The children cut the con and stick it on


the paper. Then, they throw the dice and
according to the number they have to put
the color on their hands and count.
