The coating modus can be changed between rotogravure and
fullsurface coating.

Innovative technologies for highest coating precision with


CAVI2COAT offers the rotogravure and a number of multi-roll processes enormous flexibility and short downtime.

» Rotogravure mode: The adhesive is fed in plasticized form to a coating head. » It is taken over by the engraved roll, the blank parts cleaned
off with a doctor blade, the adhesive inside the cavities is transferred onto the substrate passing by on the pressure counter roll.

» Multi-Roll mode: The adhesive is fed from the melter or the extruder in between the coating and dosing roll. » Depending on the gap
between the rolls, a specified quantity of adhesive is transferred onto the substrate. » The coating roll rotates together whit the counter pressure
roll in the same direction as the substrate for Direct-Coating or the coating roll rotates in counter direction for Reverse-Roll-Coating.
» These processes allow a one side full-surface or irregular-open coating surface.

» Another option is when the substrate passes through the gap of the coating and dosing roll. » It is dipped through the adhesive and enables
Both-Side-Coating.
