Why Is Art Ageless and Timeless

Art can take many forms and be produced by people from all walks of life. A traditional Filipino tattoo artist named Whang-od Oggay is famous for her tribal designs that reflect her culture's traditions that have been passed down for generations. Meanwhile, a 9-year-old boy from the Philippines named Añiel Jay Sotero Sese amazed people by tattooing a client in a viral video, showing how art knows no age boundaries. The document argues that art is both ageless and timeless because creating it stems from personal interest and purpose rather than factors like age or time period.

WHY IS ART AGELESS AND TIMELESS?

Art is everything. We may see, feel, or use it. I may be in any forms, and it
may be from different people with different status in life, profession or age and
it could be produced in different time or generations.

Whang-od Oggay is famous for being the last and oldest “mambabatok” or
a traditional tattoo artist whose designs are tribal with significant and different
purpose and meaning. Whang-od’s form of art reflects their culture and
traditions long time ago from their ancestors. On the other hand, a viral video
posted five months ago, amazed the netizens because it features a 9-year old
boy tattoing a client’s thigh. His name is Añiel Jay Sotero Sese from Tarlac. This
video shows how the kid was doing a tattoo on model during a contest. The kid
was trained by his parents to do tattoo as form of expression, for competitions
and for appreciation.

This only shows that art is ageless as well as timeless. It only depends on
the interest or purpose of someone to do or still do arts, because making it
must came from anyone’s hearts’ desire.
