at least the basic knowledge of using computers.

Computer technology has had a deep impact on the education sector. Thanks to
computers, imparting education has become easier and much more interesting than
before. Owing to memory capacities of computers, large chunks of data can be stored in
them. They enable quick processing of data with very less or no chances of errors in
processing. Networked computers aid quick communication and enable web access.
Storing documents on computers in the form of soft copies instead of hard ones, helps
save paper.

Computer teaching plays a key role in the modern education system. Students find

of learning has gone beyond learning from prescribed textbooks. Internet is a much larger
and easier-to-access storehouse of information. When it comes to storing retrieved
information, it is easier done on computers than maintaining hand-written notes.

“It should be made clear, however, that then computer cannot totally replace the
teacher since the teacher shall continue to play the major roles of information
deliverer and learning environment controller.”

Computer is a powerful mean in human learning. It gives many benefits among of

us such as a medium for communication, making work easier and faster and develops
individual skills. According to Robert Taylor, Computer has three modes: computer as a
tool, tutor and tutee. First is Computer as a Tool it serves as an avenue or a medium for
a particular task to be done and it include software like word processing packages,
spreadsheets, data bases, presentation software and desktop publishing. Computer as
a Tutor it serves as a source to educate and inform us in different things and it can tailor
its performance to cater for a wide range of different learner needs. Lastly the computer
can be also a leaner or a Tutee student learn how to build a program or a website
therefore it needs understanding of the programming language that will be used to build
such a program.
