Corbel Design Spreadsheet To ACI318

This spreadsheet is used to design precast concrete corbels. It provides design information such as material strengths, load parameters, and corbel geometry. Calculations are shown to determine the required steel reinforcement area (As) based on the factored shear (Vf) and normal (Nf) forces. The spreadsheet also verifies that design requirements are met such as As exceeding the minimum steel area and the factored shear stress being less than the maximum permitted. Finally, it provides details on tension development lengths and bar spacing for the standard hooked reinforcement.
