Load Calculation

This document calculates the load from a slab to a beam. It provides the slab thickness, concrete unit weight, self weight of the slab, floor finish weight, live load, and other gravity loads to determine the total uniform distributed load on the floor area of 8.5 kN/m2. It also lists the long and short spans of the one-way slab as 5m and 2m respectively, with a span ratio of 2.5. Given this is a one-way slab, the calculated load on the longer span is 8.5 kN/m.

Load Calculation from Slab to Beam by DECODE BD

Slab Thickness = 0.14 m

Concrete Unit Weight = 25 kN/m3
Self Weight of Slab = 3.5 kN/m2
Floor Finish = 2 kN/m2
Live Load = 2 kN/m2
Any Other Gravity Load = 1 kN/m2
Total UDL on Floor Area, wo = 8.5 kN/m2

Long Span, Ly = 5 m
Long Span, Lx = 2 m
Span Ratio, β = 2.5 One Way Slab

Load from Triangular Area, = One Way kN/m

Load from Trapezoidal Area, = One Way kN/m

If it is One way Slab then,

Load on Longer Span = 8.50 kN/m
