A. Carol Flynn, Kindergarten. Requesting $1,360 to fund the field trip to Heritage
Museum & Gardens and the buses to get there. The soil see classroom program is
an engaged science lesson that is aligned to the NGSS science standards. This field
trip provides students opportunities to explore the outdoor classroom and the soil
to see lesson in an inquiry based way. The field trip will be early June 2019. $5 x
200 students = $1,000, $90 per bus, two buses per day x 2 days = $360.

Meaghann Toomey made the motion to approve grant, Daisy Lemoi seconded, motion passes.
B. Carol Flynn, Kindergarten. Requesting $640 total ($360 to the Sandwich Bus
Company & $280 for ice cream) to pay for the field trip to The Adventure
Playground in Sandwich in June. We have created a vision for our students. We
strive to create a unified kindergarten community through a variety of shared
experiences. One of these experiences is an end of the year picnic. All nine
kindergarten classes will enjoy a brown bag picnic at the playground and a visit
from the ice cream truck. The cost per bus is $90; four busses will be needed.
Last year was the first time this field trip happened and it went really well. It was a great
time for all the students to interact. Cape Cod Slush is donating most of the ice cream and is
only charging a small fee. Daisy Lemoi made the motion to approve the grant, Elissa Adams
seconded, motion passes

Ecology Train Field Trip. Students will observe and learn about the different

bog, and canal. Science standards covered are the life cycles, inherited and
environmental traits, and variation of traits. We have 203 students. The cost for
the train is $3,000, plus $450 for 5 buses. The grant would reduce the cost per
student by almost $5 each.
Students stay ont the train during the field trip and stops at several locations where the
guides will discuss and teach. Heather Walsh made the motion to approve grant, Meaghann
Toomey seconded, motion passes.
