Annotated Bibliography

This annotated bibliography contains primary and secondary sources related to the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade. The primary sources section includes a video of Norma McCorvey discussing her pro-life views, McCorvey's autobiography, the official Roe v. Wade court opinion, and a book by Sarah Weddington about the case. The secondary sources section consists of 15 references to encyclopedia entries, news articles, timelines, and other resources that provide context and perspectives on Roe v. Wade. Five additional sources included only images. The bibliography covers materials from all sides of the abortion debate and will aid research on the history and impact of the Roe v. Wade decision

This video is included on the website and includes a brief account of Norma McCorvey

after her conversion and belief that Roe v. Wade should be overturned.

This book was written by the plaintiff in the Roe v. Wade case, Norma McCorvey,

otherwise known as Jane Roe. It contains a detailed account of who she was during the

time of the case and what the outcomes were for her following the decision.

Roe v. Wade Supreme Court Justices. “Roe v. Wade.” U. S. Supreme Court.

This report contains the opinion of the court, including dissenting opinions in the Roe v.

Wade case.

Weddington, Sarah. A Question of Choice. G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1992.

This book, written by one of Norma McCorvey's lawyers, tells the story of how she had

an abortion and her desire to overturn Texas law so that women in similar situations

could have a choice without fear. This book was written by the Sarah Weddington,

lawyer to Jane Roe. In it, she explains and describes how the case came about before

meeting Jane Roe and what the outcomes were for those who wanted abortion to be made

legal.
