designating the part. All identification marks shall be in place prior to testing and post
weld heat treatment.
Attachments welded directly to pressure parts shall be of a material in the same material
class “P” number as that of the material of the pressure part. This includes all internal
structural supports, which are welded directly to the vessel head, shell or flanges.
If dissimilar materials with significantly different electrochemical potentials are placed
in contact in the presence of an electrolytic solution, galvanic couples can be created that
can result in serious corrosion of the less noble material. The CONTRACTOR shall
select materials to avoid conditions that may result in galvanic corrosion. Where such
conditions cannot be avoided, the COMPANY and the CONTRACTOR shall agree on
the material selection and any other precautions necessary. See NACE Corrosion
Engineer's Reference Book for selection of suitable materials in these situations. This
shall also apply to bolt assembly on the flanges or casing.

rigid to prevent misalignment of the train caused by FPSO movement or piping strains
up to the levels permitted by the relevant codes & standards.
In both the operating condition and lifting condition, the skid shall be capable of
supporting all equipment without deflections that would result in permanent deformation
or transfer of unacceptable loads into the operating equipment.
The CONTRACTOR shall provide all the necessary data required for structural static
and dynamic analysis of the deck support plinths.
All areas of the skid shall be sealed and with the exception of drip pans / bunds, shall
not allow ponding of liquids. For the purpose of containing oil spills, all skids shall be
provided with drip pans / bunding under the compressor, motor, lube oil equipment and
in any other areas that may contain spills or may require draining. Drip pans / bunds
shall be sloped to a low point drain. All other skid flooring shall be of solid metal plate
and shall be sloped towards a drip pan / bund. Deck plate for the compressor skid shall
be continuously welded on the top and the bottom. CONTRACTOR’s standard design
for fully plated base plate design is acceptable.
