PLUG IN VEHICLE PEV

While people can charge their plug-in vehicles overnight before driving, they
can plug their vehicles into sockets allowing power to flow from the car
batteries to the electricity grid, and an engine driving a generator will supply
alternative power to complete the journey when the batteries run flat, which
means more people will drive plug-in vehicles in the future because the
world's almost total dependence on petroleum-based fuels for transport is
unsustainable

2. ROSETTA STONE
In 1999 the British Museum cleaned leftover residue caused by eager
hands from the surface of Rosetta Stone with a variety of cleaning agents
and uncovered different layers of substances that corresponds to different
times in history dating all the way back to 1799 when the stoned was first
discovered.

3. AMERICAN ENGLISH
While American English is a dialect with an army because the United States is the
most powerful nation on the earth and such power brings with it influence, America’s
political influence is extended through American popular culture which also results in
an expansion of its language, and the international prominence of American English
is associated with the quick development of communications technology, which
suggests American English is the most influential and powerful variety of English.

4. MALAYSIA TOURISM

While Malaysia is one of the most pleasant countries to visit in Southeast Asia, it is
also launching its biggest-ever tourism campaign to lure more visitors this year, and
people can visit lots of places, such as the Petronas Twin Tower in Kuala Lumper, the
limestone temple Batu Caves, the Sipadan island in Sabah, the Mount Kinabalu as
well as Malacca.

5. WORLDWIDE WEB
Since Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web because he wanted to find
all the information in one place, he has changed the world because individuals can
now have the same access to information as the elite, but the computer scientist from
Oxford who is also a cultural guru is now looking for the next crazy idea.

6. OVERQUALIFIED EMPLOYEES
Although prejudice against too-good employees is pervasive and companies tend to
prefer an application who is perfect-fit because studies have consistently shown that
employees who consider themselves overqualified exhibit higher levels of discontent,
a surplus of overqualified candidates was a global problem, but new research shows
that overqualified workers tend to perform better than other employees and they
don’t quit any sooner, and empowerment can mitigate any dissatisfaction they may
feel.
7. MINI WAR/SMALL WAR
Since warfare is directed at infiltrating all areas of society, the easy access to weapons
of mass destruction is of key concern, but both governmental and non-governmental
actors prefer to use “small wars” in which the protagonists acknowledge no rules and
observe neither international standards nor arms control agreements by making use
of territories with no sanctions, which challenges both the external security and the
internal safety of the nation states and international community.
8. COLUMBUS
Although Columbus initially found Tainos, the settler of Hispaniola, peaceful and
friendly, the conquerors divided up the island and its Indian population among
individual Spaniards, who put the Indians to work as virtual slaves, accidentally
infected them with Eurasian diseases, and murdered them because Tainos had gold
which the Spanish coveted but didn’t want to go to mining themselves, and 27 years
after Columbus’s arrival, that original population of half a million had been reduced.
9. ONLINE TEACHING/LEARNING
While teachers don’t have to be someplace to teach because teaching online uses the
internet as the primary means of communication, online learning also offers more
freedom for students as well because they can have all learning materials and
resources online and overcome geographical obstacles, which makes online teaching
and learning unique.
10. VIVACITY OF TV AND NEWSPAPER
The news marketplace of ideas dominated by television is so different from the one
that emerged in the world dominated by the printing press, because the quality of
vividness experienced by television viewers is different from that by readers, and the
simulation of reality accomplished in the television medium is much more compelling
and vivid compared with the representation of reality conveyed by printed words.
11. FROG AMBER
While a miner in Mexico found a tiny tree frog preserved in amber for 25 million
years, the preserved frog would be the first of its kind found in Mexico, and a few
other preserved frogs have been found in chunks of amber, so Carbot would like to
extract a sample from the frog’s remains to find DNA that could identify the
particular species but the owner may not allow.
12. CHILDREN ALLOWANCE
Although many people say it is not a good idea to pay your child for work around
home, it can provide an understanding of how a business works and give them a
chance to experience the things they can do with money because children can spend
the money or understand saving and investing, so that they can learn about the
power of compound interest.
13. GRASS AND COW
While the grasses have evolved to withstand the grazing of ruminants because the
cow not only maintains and expands their habitat, but also spreads, plants and
fertilizes grass seeds, cows have evolved the special ability to convert grass into high-
quality protein because they possess the most highly evolved digestive organ of
rumen in which a resident population of bacteria dines on grass, which is the co-
evolutionary relationship between cows and grass.
14. TECHNOLOGY PREDICTION
With the technology prediction failure of IBM, the British Department for Education,
and Microsoft, we all, including the 'experts', seem to be peculiarly inept at predicting
the likely development of our technologies because we can only try to extrapolate
from experience of previous technologies, but how justified we might be in doing so
remains an open question as whether the information is relevant, nor where to find
the information is unknown.
15. PARENT’S BORN ORDER AFFECTS THEIR PARENTING
Despite the theory that parents’ own birth order can affect their parenting, and that
parents usually replicate the family in which they were raised, both parents and
children have free will to build up their own personality and characteristics.
16. TREE RINGS
While tree ring dating is straightforward to count the rings inwards, a bonus of
dendrochronology is that the width and substructure of each ring reflects the amount
of rain and the season at which the rain fell during that particular year to reconstruct
the past climate, which suggests that the tree ring sequence is even more diagnostic
and richer in information because trees actually contain rings spanning much
different width.
17. COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE
Although some developing countries, such as China, become competent in the
production green industries because they have a comparative advantage over the
United States, in producing labour intensive goods due to the relatively lower-priced
labour, the United States still has a comparative advantage enabled by innovation in
the production at the early stage of the development of a new technology.
18. AMERICA AND INDIA IT
While (Although) India might has absolute advantage in providing both computer
programming and innovative new technologies because of the low cost, the United
States has a comparative advantage in technology innovation because of easier
capital obtaining, which suggests that Indian programmers will do more and more of
what U.S. programmers have been doing in the past and American firms will shift to
more and more innovation.
19. AUSTRALIAN EDUCATION
While (Although) the improved equity and equity of education can strengthen human
capital to underpin their modern knowledge economies and improve social cohesion,
educational quality and equity cannot be both achieved at the same time because
curriculum reforms intended to improve equity by increasing breadth or
differentiation in offerings also increase differences in quality which reflects
differences in students’ social backgrounds.
20. NOBEL PEACE PRICE
Although (While) the Nobel Peace Prize winner, United Nations Climate Change Panel
(the IPCC) is telling what the world should expect from climate change, the other
award winner, Al Gore is telling us what to fear as sea level rising and accelerated
melting ice in Greenland, but he ignores and overlooks the conclusions of the IPCC
that cold spells are much bigger killer than heat and global warming will actually save
lives.
21. THE CITY OF LONDON
London has surpassed its rivals and has dominated global financial markets to
become the world’s mighty money capital due to its judicial and currency advantages
even though the expansion progress was not smooth.
22. BEAUTY CONTEST
Australian has taken a real step toward treating women with dignity and respect,
young Australian women still concern more about their body shapes because not
only all the beauty pageants are judged by their lookings and they are reinforcing the
idea that thin equals beautiful, but also they ignore the fact that men and women
come in all sizes and shapes, which is detrimental to the mental health of young
Australians.
23. POLICE LIASON NSW
(Although) parent groups warned of potential dangers and said it may spark a range
of community reactions, bringing armed police into NSW schools to reduce crime
rate and educate student still has positive benefits because School Liaison Police will
not only conduct crime prevention workshops to talk to students, but also advise
school principals, which suggests that the positive relationships between police and
students will be built.
24. CHILDREN WATCHING TV
(Although) there is nothing wrong with TV, parents need not only to consider how
much time their children spent on watching TV because the amount of time spent
watching TV will impact the time spent on homework, study and social development
or physical activities, but also to consider what effects it as on his life, including the
impact of violence, sex and commercials, which suggests that family should consider
TV as a whole.
25. MIDDAY NAPPING
While (Although) diets rich in olive oil and other heart-healthy foods have received
some of the credit for Mediterranean adults who die of heart disease at a lower rate,
scientists have found that napping are more likely the reason for lower incidence of
heart attacks, indicating that a nap may help protect against heart disease and sleep
at any time of day acts like a value to release the stress of everyday life.
26. WINE INDUSTRY
27. While (Although) the National Prohibition Act prohibited the manufacture,
sale, transportation, importation, delivery, or possession of intoxicating liquors
for beverage purposes, Americans still found a loophole that they could make
wine from fruit juice or cider, but this was banned by the government
eventually and the American wine industry came to a halt.
