General Erosion control
Access over existing swale
The contractor will itemize the steps of the procurement, construction process, design
criteria, safety elements and plant and equipment to be used in the construction of the
above items for the site as outlined in the introduction.
1. Check on the performance of what have been installed while it’s raining
2. Keep extra supplies on hand (some extra seed, straw rolls, silt fence and erosion
control blankets in a dry location).
3. Remove silt that has built up behind straw rolls and silt fencing, as well as around
drainage inlets.
2. All persons involved with this task are to be fully briefed by the supervisor in charge
and briefed of the procedure / steps of works and JSEA of the task at hand daily or
as the task changes before any works can commence.
3. All persons and equipment must be of competent or certified to carry out the tasks
required.
4. All persons carrying out these works must ensure they have and are equipped with
the correct standard of PPE and safety equipment to carry out the task at hand.
5. All works requiring PTW requirement approvals must be in place before any works
can commence.

works
10. If the roadway is open to works during weather conditions – ensure measures have
been taken and implemented to divert or control any erosion.
11. All plant and machinery used throughout this task must be certified and or inspected
by competent / certified persons to confirm it is acceptable for the works required
12. Lift plans for unloading must are submitted and approved before any works setup or
commence and operational movements of plant and equipment are clearly managed
via spotters and communicated to all involved in the task before works can
commence.
13. Air gas monitoring / testing will be performed throughout this task especially if people
are in low lying or restricted spaces.
14. All necessary precautions and communication are a must throughout while working
in and around live operating plant,
16. Elevated work platforms – competency and certification of machine and surfaces
being operated on, hook off points are to the standards required to carry out the
tasks above for operational and movement as required for the task. Correct safety
equipment and operating procedures are followed.
17. Crane – certified for use and equipment checked and certified for use, platform base
of crane position checked and acceptable for erection of crane. Riggers are briefed
on lifts and plans ahead of works commencing. All crane operations are coordinated
by the riggers only via radio or signals.
18. Overhead and underground services noted and coordinated to not compromise
safety and task works as noted above.
19. Man cage – certified and equipped to carry out works as above, all personal involved
are briefed on operation and access
20. All power tools used are to comply and in good working condition with necessary
safety features equipped and project site standards and procedures are followed.

and supervision of the supervisor in charge
