Philippines On LGBTQ+ Culture Notes: Pew Research Center

The document discusses LGBTQ+ culture in the Philippines. It notes that while 73% of Filipinos accept homosexuality according to a survey, 61% oppose same-sex marriage. LGBTQ+ individuals in the Philippines can face bullying and discrimination, especially in religious schools. However, there are also signs of growing acceptance as some Christian groups have apologized to the LGBTQ+ community at Pride events. Celebrity LGBTQ+ figures in the Philippines help increase visibility but may not be fully accepted. Overall the environment is improving but continued progress is still needed.
