Motion For Consolidation of Cases: Municipal Trial Court

MOTION FOR CONSOLIDATION OF CASES

ACCUSED, assisted by the Public Attorney’s Office through the


undersigned counsel, unto this Honorable Court, most respectfully states
THAT:

1. There is another case for “Grave Threats” filed by the same


private complainant against the same accused docketed as Criminal Case
No. B-12345, now pending before MTCC Branch 2;

2. The aforementioned cases involve the same parties with


intertwined issues and subject matters;

3. The defense will be presenting common witnesses for these two


(2) cases; and

4. In order to serve the best interests of the parties and to settle


expeditiously the issues involved, there is a need to consolidate the above-
captioned case with Criminal Case No. B-12345 for “Grave Threats”, now
pending before MTCC Branch 2;

PRAYER

WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, it is most respectfully prayed of


this Honorable Court that an Order be issued to consolidate the above-entitled
case with Criminal Case No. B-12345, filed by the same private complainant
against the same accused which is now pending before MTCC Branch 2 of
Dipolog City.

Other reliefs just and equitable in the premises are likewise sought.
