Sanko Anchor Installation Procedure (CT-3040U, CT-4050U)

Step 1 Obtain the proper setting tool for the

anchor size being installed.

• For the 3/8” CT-3040U use the

HT-3040
• For the 1/2” CT-4050U use the
HT-4050

Step 2 Drill a hole in the concrete. Space

anchors at least 3 ½” apart from each
other and 3 ½” from the edge of the
concrete.

• CT-3040U: Use a 1/2” diameter

drill bit to a depth of 1 9/16”.
• CT-4050U: Use a 5/8” diameter
drill bit to a depth of 2”.

Step 3 Clean debris in the drilled anchor hole

before setting the anchor. Any debris still
present in the hole when the anchor is set
could reduce the holding power of the
anchor.

Step 4 Make sure the hole is the proper depth.
This can be checked by inserting the
setting tool into the hole and checking to
see if the shoulder of the setting tool is
level with the surface of the concrete.

Step 5 Insert the anchor into the hole. A hammer

may be used to gently tap the anchor into
place.

Step 6 Place the small end of the setting tool into

the anchor. Use a hammer to strike the
setting tool until the shoulder of the
setting tool is level with the top of the
anchor. The anchor is now properly
installed.
