parts and people of the American Revolution. Students will be able to use computers, art supplies, and other
resources within the school to complete their projects. A rubric will be followed as students create their
projects. They will include an important timeline of their topic, a picture summarizing their topic, and
important things that happened during the event or that their person had been a part of. There will be a
presentation of each project in the class. After the fact, student work will be posted on the teacher blog to be
shared with parents and viewers of the blog.

Reflective Practice: Extending this lesson and student work may include bringing in a history expert to discuss
important details that have been missed from these assignments. The historian could then also compare the
American Revolution to other wars in other countries or in other time periods to expand student horizons.
