Lesson Plan Demo

This lesson plan is for a 7th grade dressmaking/tailoring class and covers sewing tools and equipment. The objectives are for students to be able to classify, identify the uses of, and understand the importance of sewing tools. A. Reviewing Previous Lesson or Presenting the New Lesson
- Review the previous lesson by presenting pictures of storage devices and
let the students identify it.
- Present pictures of people communicating, animals that produce sounds
and interacting with each other and other form of transmitting information
with each other.

B. Establishing a Purpose for the Lesson


- Ask students: “How do you communicate your thoughts and feelings with
each other?”
C. Presenting Examples/Instances of the Lesson
- Present a picture of a computer, ask students: “Do computers
communicate with each other or with us?”

D. Discussing New Concepts and Practicing New Skills #1


- Discussion about binary digits through slide presentation.
E. Discussing New Concepts and Practicing New Skills #2
- Identifying the steps in converting decimal to binary and binary to decimal.
- Presenting examples for each and letting the students to perform the
calculation.
F. Discussing New Concepts and Practicing New Skills #3
- Students will work in groups; follow the instructions on the activity cards
and present their works.
- Students will be evaluated based on their answer and presentation. A
rubric will be used.

- Convert the decimal numbers to binary or binary to decimal.
