The Clarity Fuel Cell * is the most advanced zero-
emissions Honda ever built. This breakthrough
hydrogen vehicle's only emission is water. It can be
refueled in 3-5 12 minutes throughout California,
thanks to the state's growing network of hydrogen
stations. The Clarity Fuel Cell converts hydrogen into
electricity to power the high-torque electric motor.
For increased efficiency, a small onboard battery
stores energy recovered during deceleration and
braking, adding "free" electrons to the power mix.
