WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The warranty does not cover parts which becomes defective

due to misuse as mentioned below.
Warranty is not applicable in cases other than these involving
defects in material or workmanship and in particular,
does not cover.

a. Defects caused by unauthorized repair, maintenance,

modification or improper use, use of non certified/non MSO/
LCO parts.
b. Defects caused by lightning, water, fire, act of war,
public disturbance or any other cause beyond MSO control.
c. Products where the label bearing the serial number has
been tampered, defiled, removed or is illegible.
d. Defects or damages caused due to improper handling or
physical abuse.
e. Defects caused by illegal software.

Aux Cable

CONNECTIONS
Connect the BLE/Wi-fi Hub to the USB socket at the back of
your Set Top Box. Please ensure the set top box is in power off
mode while connecting the BLE/Wi-fi Hub.
Connect the red pin of the Aux cable to STB and the black pin
to external speaker.

 HOW TO INSTALL
1. BLE REMOTE PAIRING:
Keep the BLE Remote handy that has come along with ALEXA KIT
and follow the steps below to pair the BLE Remote with your STB.
STEPS:
a. Press Menu key on your existing STB remote.
b. Press left/right to highlight “Alexa settings” menu.
c. Press up/down to highlight “Bluetooth Search”. (See Fig 1.1)
d. Press select/OK key on “Bluetooth Search” menu.
e. Set the BLE Remote to pairing mode by simultaneously pressing
OK & Mute key for 3 sec.
f. Highlight & select the “Bluetooth Scan List” option. (See Fig 1.2)
g. Select Bluetooth scan list option, Bluetooth remote is visible as
BLE Remote. (See Fig 1.3)
h. When pairing is in progress an OSD with “Attempting to Pair,
Please wait...” will be displayed. (See Fig 1.4)
I. After successful pairing an OSD with “Bluetooth Device
Connected” will be shown. (See Fig 1.5)

2. Wi-Fi SETUP:
Alexa requires internet connection to work so STB should be
connected to a Wi-Fi internet connection, a Wi-Fi connection can be
from mobile hotspot or Wi-Fi router.
STEPS:
a. Press Menu key on the BLE Remote.
b. Press left/right to highlight “Alexa Settings” menu.
c. Press up/down to highlight “Wi-Fi Search”. (See Fig 2.1)
d. Press OK/select key on “Wi-Fi Search”.
e. Wi-Fi menu with different scan options will be displayed.
f. Press OK/select key on “Network Scan”. (See Fig 2.2)
g. All the scanned Wi-Fi SSID will be listed, highlight your Wi-Fi
name. (See Fig 2.3)
h. Press OK/select key to Connect.
I. If Wi-Fi network is open, connection will be initiated
automatically, otherwise OSD for password entry will be shown.
j. Enter the password by navigating (left/right/up/down) on the
QWERTY keypad shown. (See Fig 2.4)
k. Press Green key to connect after Fig – 2.1

l. On successful connection an OSD
with “Wi-Fi Device Connected”.
(See Fig 2.5)
m. Please repeat the steps on failure.
NOTE: Please connect the STB to
Wi-Fi source which is free of firewall
or any limitations.

3. Wi-Fi INFO:
STEPS:
a. Press Menu key on the BLE Remote.
b. Press left/right to highlight “Alexa Settings” menu.
c. Press up/down to highlight “Wi-Fi Search”.
d. Press OK/select key on “Wi-Fi Search”.
e. Press OK/select key on Wi-Fi Info menu. (See Fig 3.1)
f. Wi-fi Info screen with below details will be displayed. (See Fig 3.2)
Please see the connection status to check the Wi-Fi connectivity.

4. ALEXA REGISTRATION:
Press the Voice key on BLE remote, OSD with Alexa info will be
displayed asking you to login with your amazon account. (See Fig
4.1) This is one-time task after which the login will be automatically
taken care.
STEPS:
a. Press OK/select key to proceed for login.
b. OSD with login URL: "amazon.com/code" and a unique code will
be displayed which will expire in 10 mins. (See Fig 4.2)
c. Open “amazon.com/code” on the browser of your
Mobile/Tablet/Laptop.
d. Enter amazon login details if already available or create new login
and enter.
e. If account details are valid then a page with "Register your device"
message will be shown with input box. (See Fig 4.3)
f. Enter the unique code displayed on your TV screen in that input
box and select continue.
g. After validating the unique key, the browser page will show a
message "Click 'Allow' to sign in to My Alexa", with Cancel & Allow
buttons. (See Fig 4.4)
h. Proceed further by clicking "Allow" button.
I. Finally, the browser will show a message "Success! Your
registration is now complete." (See Fig 4.5)
j. After this step the MYBOX STB will start the Alexa initialization &
connects to Alexa cloud service. (See Fig 4.6 & 4.7)
k. On successful connection, MYBOX STB will show "Alexa Ready to
use page with few commands to try out. (See Fig 4.8)

5. ENABLING AMAZON ALEXA SKILLS:

The Alexa skills that you want to use can be configured according to
your needs using mobile application, and the setup is pretty much
easy on both Android / IPhone mobiles.
STEPS:
a. Go to play store on android phones or App store in Iphone and
download Alexa app on your phone.
b. Enter the same Amazon account login details in the app as used
earlier during Alexa registration. (See Fig 5.1)
c. For verification an OTP might be generated and sent to registered
mobile number, please enter the OTP received via SMS.

d. On successful login, Alexa App home screen will be open.
e. Press the menu on the left side and select Skills & Games. (see
Fig 5.2)
f. Search for required skills to enable and disable them. (see Fig 5.3
& 5.4)
g. Some skills may require a login account, so after enabling, please
login with the account details corresponding to the skill, if you don't
have one create them at skill site and enter them.
