The following is the few ideas for discussion on the two new courses M.I.T.-
S.F.T proposing for the coming academic year .the detail syllabus work is in
progress. Both the courses are in post graduation level . The ideas scribble
down here is mainly intending for discussion / questions to be addressed
regarding the relevance of courses, the position of it in the present syllabus,
vision and overviews.
Vision
By considering the above all enquires in to different new media and current
requirements of the industry as well as the status of the artistic expression
M.I.T-S.F.T is proposing two new courses by including new mode of
storytelling to accommodate the new digital environment in to the present
curriculum of cinematic story telling .the new courses will be enable our
present students to develop a deeper understanding of digital platforms .they
can even expand their imagination across multi disciplines . updating the
available infrastructure will be another benefit to the present students for their
new enquires in to multiple delivery platforms.
Overview
M.I.T-S.F. T has been training students in the area of cinematic story telling
for the last three years. the training varied from traditional classroom-based
learning to studios and workshops by eminent filmmakers and technician.
interactions with filmmakers and dignitaries across the media and production
is another curriculum activity. Creative thought and imagination are nurtured
through a multitude of pathways within the disciplines of cinema , digital
media and various trans media plat forms to celebrate diverse forms of
storytelling and abstraction .
This course introduces students to the fundamental skills used in the Visual
Effects (VFX) industry. Students learn basic compositing and how the VFX
field integrates computer graphics and 3D components with live action plates.
Visual Effects include comprehensive practical exercises which simulate
current industry pipelines. Students have access to experienced mentorship
for discussion and feedback. Along with the technical and aesthetical inputs
of editing editing this course also include colorcorrection and mastering
