Objectives :
By the end of this session, students will be able to identify different vocabulary items related
to entertainment and films.
Warm up: (3 min)
Checking attendance.
Setting the scene: (3 min)
T asks Ss what they do at the weekend.
Presentation: (5 min)
T helps students grasp the new material by showing them pictures of means of entertainment
gradually.
Ss drill the vocabulary items for pronunciation.
Task one: (5 min)
Ss match the words with the pictures and place the words in the lists provided. (Exercises one
and two page 62).
Class correction.
Task two: (7 min)
T asks Ss to give him examples of movies.
T helps students grasp the new material by showing them pictures of films gradually and
explaining their types.
Ss drill the vocabulary items for pronunciation.
Task three: (7 min)
Ss read the posters and complete the sentences. (Exercise one page 63)
Class correction.
Task four: (4 min)
T reads out a conversation between Jim and Othmane.
Ss listen and fill in the chart on page 63.
T reads again if necessary.
Task five: (10 min)
T assigns a mini-project.
T provides cues for students: favourite movie- actor(s) - story- poster(s).
Jim: where are you going, Othmane?
Othmane: I am going to cinema Rif.
Jim: what film is it showing?
Othmane: Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It is an action movie .Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie are starring in
it.
Jim: Oh great! I love action movies. What time does it start?
Othmane: At 7p.m.
