Main EXV - Function

• Danfoss EXV, 4 sizes:


– ETS 50 (2776 steps)
– ETS 100 (3770 steps)
– ETS 250 (3770 steps)
– ETS 400 (3770 steps)

• EXV shall allow to meter the flow of refrigerant to the cooler


to maintain the superheat setpoint.

• The orifice area is controlled by moving a valve slider


assembly up and down over by means of a bipolar stepping
motor.

Economizer EXV - Function

• The economizer operation allow to obtain additional performance in


full load (greater than 70% of capacity).

• In part load, its operation is not necessary as the condenser


exchanger performance is optimal. Therefore, the economizer is
unused in part load in order to keep stability of the system.

• The control of the economizer EXV is based on economizer


superheat measured by a temperature sensor and a economizer
pressure transducer converted to a saturation temperature.

• Danfoss EXV, 2 kinds:


– ETS 25 (2776 steps)
– ETS 50 (2776 steps)
