Sectional - This Study Used A Sample of 30 Midwives Based On Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria

The document summarizes a study that examined the relationship between midwife characteristics and their MCH (maternal and child health) service behavior. The study found a significant relationship between length of internship and MCH service behavior, with longer internships associated with worse behavior. Specifically, there was no significant relationship found between MCH service behavior and midwife age, length of work, length of education, or number of trainings.

Abstract

MCH Service Behavior is supported by the characteristics of midwives including age,

length of work, length of education, length of internship, and number of training. The purpose of
this study was to determine the relationship between the characteristics of midwives and the
behavior of MCH services.
The type of research used is observational analytical method with astudy design cross
sectional . This study used a sample of 30 midwives based on inclusion and exclusion criteria
who performed MCH services (ANC to toddlers). Characteristics and behavior of MCH services
are assessed using a checklist from Permenkes. Data were analyzed using Range Spearmen.
Obtained a p value of 0.000 and a value of r-0.892 which indicates that there is a
significant relationship between the length of time the midwife interns and the MCH service
behavior because the value of p <0.05. Age variables (p = 0.0354), length of work (p = 0.085),
duration of education (p = 0.136), and number of training (p = 0.597) showed that there was no
significant relationship because the value of p> 0.05.
There is a very strong relationship between the characteristics of midwives (duration of
internship) and MCH service behavior, the longer the internship behavior of MCH services is
getting worse.
